Punjab government appoints Dr. Yasmin as price control incharge

The Punjab government appoints Dr. Yasmin as price control incharge for Lahore and Punjab.

This action was made in a strategy set by the government to tackle complaints against rising prices and inflation across the country.

A special monitoring officer was also set up at DC office Lahore. After taking charge, Dr. Yasmin visited the Monitoring room and discussed details on the subject.

After the meeting, Dr. Yasmin shared that special and urgent steps are being taken to control the situation. She shared that

  • Thirty one (31) sahulat bazar setup for the convenience of citizens for provision of flour and sugar etc. on fixed/set price
  • One twenty five (125) cameras installed for monitoring of these bazars
  • Fifty one (51) magistrates are conducting regular monitoring across the city and the supply of flour bags at set cost

Along with this, she also informed that twenty four flour mills were fined against high prices.
