ICC Bans USA Cricketer Akhilesh Reddy for 8 Years Over Corruption Charges

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has handed American cricketer Bodogam Akhilesh Reddy an eight-year ban after finding him guilty of corruption-related offences linked to the Abu Dhabi T10 League. The decision underscores ICC’s zero-tolerance stance against match-fixing and obstruction of investigations.

Cricket fans in the United States were dealt a blow as the ICC announced an eight-year suspension for Bodogam Akhilesh Reddy. The ruling came after the ICC Anti-Corruption Tribunal found him guilty of three serious offences, including match-fixing and obstructing an investigation during the Abu Dhabi T10 League.

The ban, effective from November 21, 2025, means Reddy will be barred from all cricket activities under ICC and its member boards until 2033. This marks a dramatic fall for the right-handed player, who had represented the USA in four T20 International matches.
