Rawalpindi Ring Road project shifted from RDA to LRRA
Rawalpindi Ring Road project has again shifted from RDA (Rawalpindi Development Authority) to LRRA (Lahore Ring Road Authority).
The above said decision was approved by the Punjab cabinet.
The Ring Road project was launched in 1991 however could not be executed neither completed for many reasons.
In March 2020, Punjab cabinet handed it over to LRRA after being dissatisfied by the progress of RDA. It was later reversed and again handed over to RDA in June 2020.
Prime Minister Imran Khan also took notice on the progress of this project and urged it to be completed at the earliest possible time frame.
