The 71st death anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah is being observed today.
Mohammad Ali Jinnah was born on 25th December, 1876 while he died of 11th of September, 1948.
The day will be observed officially with due solemnity across the country. Government representatives visit the Mausoleum of the father of the nation in Karachi and lay flowers and offer Fateha.
Representatives of the three services will lay wreaths at the mausoleum on behalf of their respective chiefs.
Several public and private organizations and educational institutions hold functions at multiple venues to highlight different aspects of the life of Quaid-e-Azam, who united the Muslims of the Subcontinent for acquiring a separate homeland.
Television and radio channels air special programmes to pay homage to the great leader.
