Cross examination in Ali vs Meesha case
Another twist takes place in Ali Zafar – Meesha Shafi’s case as the Supreme Court allows Meesha Shafi’s legal team to cross-examine Ali Zafar’s witnesses in the high court on Tuesday in his defamation case.
A previous order by the Lahore High Court locked Shafi’s counsel from the cross-examination of Zafar’s witnesses in this defamation case.
Zafar and his counsel have been ordered to submit affidavits of their witnesses in seven days while Shafi’s lawyer has been directed to prepare for the cross-examination of witnesses in the same time period.
The Supreme Court advised Meesha’s counsel to try their best to cross examine all witnesses on the same day.
