Court directs govt to return Khokhar palace land to Khokhar brothers
Lahore High Court has directed government to return khokhar palace land to khokhar brothers.
LDA demolished the illegally possessed land by Khokhar brother a few days back. The land was approximately 38 kanals and worth 1.5 billion. Khokhar brothers had illegally possessed and constructed their residence over there for so many years.
Just a few days after the demolishing of Khokhar palace began, Lahore high court Chief Justice Muhammad Qasim Khan has refrained LDA from further demolishing of the land. The court has suggested both parties to approach the civil court for further investigation and resolving the matter.
Chief justice Lahore High court also suspended a Directive of Deputy Commissioner Lahore, for demolishing the land. The court has also ordered Khokhar brothers to avoid reconstructing the Khokhar palace unless the Civil court gives its verdict.
