Attack on Sri Lankan mosque
Sri Lanka has temporarily blocked some of the social media networks and messaging apps including Facebook and Whatsapp after posting anti-Muslim riots across several towns.
Christian groups threw stones at the mosques and Muslim owned shops in the Christian majority town of Chilaw on Sunday in anger at a Facebook post by a shopkeeper.
The security forces fired shots in an attempt to disperse mobs but the violence spread to the nearby towns and Muslims were also attacked.
