Juma tul Wida Mubarik

Juma-tul-Wida (جمعة الوداع‎ meaning Friday of farewell) is the last Friday in the month of Ramadan before Eid-ul-Fitr. It marks the end of the month of Ramadan. 

It is also called as Al-Jumu’ah al-Yateemah (الجمعة اليتيمة‎ or the orphaned Friday). Juma (Friday) is the day on which Muslim men are required to attend congregation in lieu of the Namaz-e-Juma (mid-day prayer).

Women are not obligated to attend, they may wish to do so.

It is said in the Quran in Verse 9 of Chapter 62: O you who have believed, when [the adhan] is called for the prayer on the day of Juma [Friday], then proceed to the remembrance of Allah and leave trade. That is better for you, if you only knew.

Muslims regard this day as the second holiest day of the month of Ramadan and one of the most important days of the year.

Since Ramadan has a special context of Ibadat and prayers, the Juma-tul-Wida is especially celebrated as a day of ibadat, nawafil and namaz.

One of the special ibadat is the Salaat-ul-Tasbeeh, or known as the prayer for forgiveness. Lets pray that may this last friday of Ramadan bring you all peace and prosperity.
