FIA arrests son of PML N’s Ameer Muqam over allegations of corruption

On Monday, The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested son of PMLN’s Khyber Pakhtun Khwa chapter president Ameer Muqam over the allegations of corruption.

According to Investigation Agency, an inquiry into alleged corruption in construction of Alpuri Road in KPK’s Shangla district had been finished, after which Muqam’s son Ishtiaq was arrested among five contractors.

Sources have also confirmed that FIA has recommended action against 11 NHA officials and blacklisting of Ameer Muqam and Company.

On asking, Muqam said that their hands were clean and they won’t get scared of such tactics by the government and the minister of communication.

“We will protest against political victimisation inside and outside the assembly, and approach the courts for justice,” Muqam vowed.

Muqam further mocked the current government by saying “Injustice has been widespread in the reign of a government of party having justice in its name.”
