Doctor sent to jail for spreading HIV Aids in hundreds of patients
A doctor in Larkana was arrested on Tuesday who reportedly was himself a patient of HIV AIDs and passes it on to number of his patients. Dr. Abdul Sami Rajpur filed a complaint against him. Chaos and havoc gripped Larkana over the past weeks because of increasing number of HIV-positive cases were being reported in the district. Younger children of age 16 were being diagnosed with this disastrous illness.
Earlier this week, multiple teams from Sindh Aid Control Programme arrived in the Larkana district to carry out a number of tests. The number of victims have increased to 100, who are HIV positive.
Since April 24th, a total of 2028 cases have been reported among different hospitals. Samples of suspects have now been carried to the Aga Khan Laboratory for confirmation through tests.
