Cyclone hits Bangladesh after hitting India
Cyclone Fani is said to be the strongest cyclone to hit India in five years that killed approximately 15 people. It later turned to Bangladesh, where more than a million people were already been moved to secure areas.
The storm destroyed dozens of villages that were located at the low-lying coast of Bangladesh. Shelters for survivors were set up in schools and other secure places. The evacuees included tourists as well.
The cyclone season in Bengal is predicted to last from April to December.
