Shadab joins the World Cup squad
Young Pakistani leg-spinner Shadab Khan on Thursday departed for London where he will consult a senior gastroenterologist and hepatologist before joining the country’s squad for the Cricket World Cup.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced in a press release on Tuesday that Shadab Khan was declared fit for the World Cup after his latest test results reflected zero viral load in his blood.
The leg-spinner is scheduled to consult Dr Patrick Kennedy on Friday, 17 May, before joining the team in Bristol on Monday, 20 May.
Shadab tweeted shortly before his departure and we can feel his enthusiasm through his word: “Bags packed, all geared up for England to join team Pakistan. I am working hard on my treatment and with your support and prayers I will be able to achieve my goals. #PakistanZindabad.”
