Sana Mir performance helps win T20 against South Africa

The opening spell by Sana Mir in their first ODI of ICC Women’s Championship helped Pakistan Women’s Team win against South Africa Women in Potchefstroom on Monday.

The start to Pakistan Women’s innings was exactly as their South African counterparts’ as they lost their opening innings on the third ball of the opening over with just four runs on the board.

Sana Mir was deservedly named the player of the match but she insisted that their win was the outcome of a “team effort for which everyone tried their hardest”.

Despite an amazing win, Mir wasn’t really satisfied. She said that “the team gave away few runs in the field and lost two wickets”, improvement should be made in those areas.
