Imam ul Haq breaks Kapil Dev’s record
Pakistani opener Imam-ul-Haq broke former Indian captain Kapil Dev’s record in the third one-day international at Bristol on Tuesday when he stroke a career-best 151 against England.
He became the youngest player to score more than 150 runs at the age of 23 in England, entering the record books by breaking Dev’s record who had scored 175 runs against Zimbabwe at the age of 24 in 1983.
Imam said in an interview: “We came here in the Champions Trophy so we know what these wickets are like”.
He further said: “We know England are going to come hard at us, and we have to bowl better and play better cricket to win.”
