Hundreds of AIDs patients suspected in Sindh
Four more cases of HIV have surfaced in the interior Sindh on Sunday. The screening of virus confirmed its presence in children in Shikarpur.
As said by the DHO, 3 maternity homes and one laboratory were sealed along with 50 clinics.
By 3rd May, the number of people affected by HIV in Ratodero increased to 119.
The new affected people included 21 children and one woman, Medical Superintendent (MS) RatoDero Hospital had said. The MS had confirmed 22 new HIV positive cases.
Samples of the AIDS cases were sent to Jacobabad laboratory for testing. The Sindh AIDS Control Programme had sent the report to the federal government.
A doctor, suspected of involvement in spreading the HIV AIDS in 59 people in Larkana and RatoDero, was arrested on April 30.
