Educational institutions reopen in series after a government order, SOPs partially followed

Educational institutions will reopen in series after a government order was announced. Corona SOPs will be strictly followed.

While addressing to the Press conference, Education minister informed that all institutes will be opened in phases starting from 18^th January. According to Shafqat Mehmood, Classes from 9^th to 12^th will be started from Monday, 18^th January, while 1^st to 8^th will be resumed from 25^th January. All higher education institutes will be opened from1st February.

Education Ministry has made this very clear that unlike last time, no student will be promoted without exams this year. Last year in 2019, Exams were cancelled and students were promoted to next standard on the basis of previous results. The decision has made after analysis the pandemic situation very keenly and won’t be changed until further official notice.
