Lahore blast – Death toll rises to 12 as teenager succumbs to injuries
The death rate rises to 12 in the suicide attack that targeted Pakistan’s one of the oldest and most known Sufi Shrine. Ten people including the 5 police personnel’s were killed when a suicide bomber blew himself up outside the Data Darbar Shrine on Wednesday morning. It is the largest Sufi Shrine in South Asia.
Around 23 others were treated for their injuries, as informed by the officials.
The blast, as confirmed mainly targeted a police mobile that was stationed outside the main entrance of Data Darbar.
According to the spokesperson for chief minister of Punjab, the suicide bomber was a 15 years old teenager old, who blew himself up near the Police van outside the oldest 11th Century Sufi Shrine.
