Government plans to mortgage F9 park Islamabad

According to details the Government plans to mortgage F9 park (also known as Fatima Jinnah park) located in sector F-9 Islamabad.

The federal government of Pakistan is thinking about mortgaging the biggest park of Islamabad, F9. The mortgaging will get them a loan of around 500 billion Pakistani rupees. The decision is not final yet but the proposal will be presented in the meeting of the Federal cabinet to take the final decision. The meeting has to be held at the Prime Minister’s house through a video link.

The no-objection certificate has already been issued by the Capital development authority. And, this is not the first time that some public or heritage building has been mortgaged by the government. Many other buildings were used for getting loans by successive governments.
